Recap: 2025 CNY Pagan Pride Day
A message from CNY Pagan Pride Day local coordinator and Greenwood board member Cheyenne Rainford:
On behalf of the CNY PPD Committee: Thank you to all our community tables, food trucks, presenters, vendors, performers, volunteers, and guests! We had an incredible day, and YOU made that happen.
Special shoutouts to Julia C. Banach and her daughter, Tanner, for donating their photography talents; and to Cuse Action Medics for volunteering their EMT services for the day!
This year, 1,632 of you came through the gates of Long Branch Park. You filled four huge bins to bursting with donations to Food Bank of Central New York, and raised $1,559.50 on top of it!
As promised in our Honoring of Place, CNY PPD will be donating a portion of this year's proceeds to the American Indian Law Alliance in support of the #LakeBack effort to return Maple Bay to the Haudenosaunee Nation.
To those of you who've expressed interest in joining the committee or volunteering in other capacities throughout the year: We have not forgotten you! We're taking some time to recover and decompress, we'll be in touch as soon as our spoons are back in the drawer.
In the meantime, feedback surveys and our 2026 Interest Form are available below.
It was a wonderful day – one of our best CNY PPDs yet! Our community is vibrant, beautiful and diverse. It's incredible to see, and even more incredible to be a part of. This year, when everything felt like a Sisyphean effort, my team and this community gave me the PPD I hoped to build when I first came on as the coordinator three years ago. Y'all have made my year.
Thank you. Talk soon. -Chey
